Third weekend of April

It is festival time again in the Big Easy, and one of the most anticipated events of the year kicks off the third weekend in April.

The event features 250 hours of free live music by your favorite local musicians. Hundreds of NOLA locals and tourists gather in the historic French Quarter for entertainment, local cuisine and many other special events.

French Quarter Festivals Inc. produces French Quarter Festival each year. The organization is a non-profit corporation that has a full-time staff of six and a volunteer corps of almost 1,000 people. FQFI also produces the Satchmo SummerFest and Christmas New Orleans Style annually.

The musical lineup is an unprecedented weekend of legendary local talent. You’ll hear it all from funky brass band beats, crazy Cajun zydeco tunes, good ole Dixieland jazz, a little R&B, some blues, rock and roll plus everything in between.

There is no other festival like this gathering of musical genius.
